Ok, I’ve been challenged by my friend Kelly Barr to participate in a fun little activity called the 7/7/7 Challenge! It doesn’t take much time, requires very little effort, and is all in the name of writing, so I figured, why not?
Here’s what you do:
The idea is to go to page 7 of your current work in progress, scroll to line 7, share the next seven lines in your post and nominate 7 other writers with blogs.
Copied below are my seven lines from my current manuscript and I took it a step further and decided to post on the 7th of March!! Ha!
Instead of nominating 7 writers, I’d like to challenge anyone else who reads this to have fun with it and create your own blog post. Then post a link in the comment section below, so the rest of us can check out what you have to say!! Have fun and as always, Happy reading, friends!
I gasped and got a sick tickle deep in my belly.
What if all the beds got taken and we couldn’t sleep together?
The giggles subsided and I spotted two pallets side by side clear across the room. Plenty of sunshine poured through the window beside them.
“Shall we?” Thea said. I took a deep breath in response.
Poppy grinned when we passed. Did she think we might be related? I didn’t see how. Thea’s hair was considerably lighter than my own, which was raven dark.
