OK, this book isn’t new and it isn’t even a full length book. BUT, that being said, I had previously read Carrie Ryan’s “Forest of Hands and Teeth” trilogy and LOVED them! I hadn’t realized she’s been releasing short stories that pertain to the FOHAT world and was excited to get my hands on this one!

Ok, so it’s short but SO good! It is set modern day – opposite of FOHAT, which is set sometime in the future – and begins right at the outbreak of whatever sickness caused the downfall of mankind. Imagine being on a cruise ship when the zombie apocalypse hits? What would you do? This story tells exactly what happened to one boy and a friend, who escape in a life boat… only to find his friend had been bitten. Being trapped on a lifeboat with the walking dead would be pretty scary!

Very satisfying read to pass a little time, if you have it. Highly recommended, if you are a fan of the FOHAT series. I’ve already downloaded the other 2 short stories to get started on those!

Happy Reading, friends!!
